“It takes time, and it’s important, to establish and foster personal contacts if you want to succeed. In Africa, people see each other more as people than functions, which is a more common attitude in Europe,” says David Sumpter, co-lead of CoRE AI.
CoRE AI was recently featured on the Uppsala University website as one of the university’s key international research collaborations. The initiative brings together African and European universities to explore how AI can support sustainable development through global research partnerships.
Supported by African Research Universities Alliance and The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities, the Clusters of Research Excellence initiative now includes around twenty collaborative research clusters across Africa and Europe. Read more
